The entry room is done in a nautical theme. Shown on the left is a custom made broom closet which also contains the home's fuzz box. It has inner and outer 36” doors to minimize heat loss, and a ceramic tile floor which works great for keeping the dirt out of the house. In the upper left picture, the recessed small Whirlpool refrigerator with top freezer (28”w x 60”, new June 2002) for sodas, bait, fish, kitchen frig overflow. The door leads into the living room/kitchen area. There is a storage room beneath the entry room (6 ft x 6 ft x 3 ft 6 in. tall) which insulated but not heated and is accessible from the outside. No picture available. The small room can also be used as a root cellar. (No picture of this small room).

More views of the entry room. We built this entry room in 2004 and it has served as a very useful room. You can see lots of coat hooks and area for shoes. Outside door opens onto the wrap around covered deck that surrounds the house. There are places for fishing polls to hang and other "fun stuff" to be stored outside under the decks. |

Bathroom – downstairs 5 ft 4 in x 8 ft 8 in We remodeled this bathroom in 2009, just before we decided to move. There is a new walk-in shower, new toilet, new sink/vanity and new lighting. There are 5 towel racks in the bathroom which makes it very convenient for lots of towels. The custom made furniture item in the left of the picture stays with the bathroom and is used for towel storage or whatever. |
